Look who I found on the tuberosa today! Asclepias tuberosa, or butterfly milkweed, is well known as the host plant to Monarch butterflies (caterpillar pictured above), but did you know that the plant is also host to at least six other butterflies and moths? Plant your tuberosa plants in groups of at least six to ensure your caterpillars have enough food to survive and become butterflies. Happy planting!
