Green and Gold ‘Eco Laquered Spider’ is one of those rare native evergreen (in NC) ground covers. Sporting fuzzy green leaves with a hint of blue, the ground hugging, stoloniferous plant has charming early spring yellow flowers attracting bees and butterflies. ‘Eco’ will spread to 3-4’ over as many years and is great for allowing to weave around under other plants and a weed suppressing ground layer. While it typically grows in part sun to part shade, ‘Eco’ can take a bit more sun in NC if provided adequate moisture (well-drained). Birds eat the seeds.
