Rattlesnake Master's blue green foilage adds a lovely coarse texture to the landscape. In late spring the stalks shoot upward producing other wordly flower heads that attract a large variety pollinator insects, butterflies, and skippers of and add striking architectural interest.

While Rattlesnake master prefers full sun and moist, well-drained soils, it can tolerate drought well. The foliage is around 2' tall; when in flower, the stalks are 4-6' tall.  It is a larval host to the Papaipema Moth, and soldier beetles like the pollen. It attracts a large variety of pollinators.
