This dainty woodland native is a favorite of bees. Its delicate flowers bloom in spikes starting in April in NC. Also known as False Miterwort, this small woodland plant attracts bees and butterflies along with other pollinators, and spreads ever so slowly by rhizomes. It will not tolerate drought but can tolerate deep shade. It prefers moist, well drained soil.
