Penstemons are such a joy in late spring when the bees are shoving themselves inside the tubular flowers! This penstemon has white blooms. It grows in part shade or sun, in prairies or open woodlands, and is drought tolerant. Holds an evergreen basal rosette over winter.
The blooms attract hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies. Penstemons are utilized by the Osmia Distincta, a specialized bee.
