In late Spring, Fleabane sends up a mass of charming, showy white flowers with yellow centers. This is one of my favorite ground covers. It is a fantastic weed-suppressing, semi-evergreen ground cover with fuzzy, silvery green, thick leaves. It makes a lovely edger in a border or a charming underplanting/base layer in a larger garden.
Robin's Plantain is a host plant for the Checked White butterfly. Caterpillars of several moths feed on its flowers. Butterflies love it as a nectar source as do bees.
This short-lived plant forms small colonies by stolons. It is easy to divide and spread around your garden. It grows in part sun in a variety of well-drained soils and is drought tolerant once established.
